Passion fruit wall inaugurated

As part of Environment Day, Kadirur Service Co-operative Bank set up a Passion Fruit Wall. In today’s environmental crisis, where the very survival of humankind is under threat, the bank has taken a model initiative with the theme “Small Hands Create Green Wall” by planting passion fruit along the boundary wall of the upcoming Agri Nursery at Kavunkara Yillath.

Saplings were also distributed to students of Kadirur East LP School and Pulyode West LP School.

The program was inaugurated by District Agriculture Officer (in-charge) Smt. Tulasi Chengat. Bank President Sreejith Choyan presided over the function. Sri. Rajesh P.P, Assistant Registrar (Co-operative Department, Thalassery), was the chief guest.

Various individuals planted saplings of Nelli (Indian gooseberry), Ashoka, Kuvalam (Bael), Kanikonna (Golden shower), Sandalwood, Red sandalwood, Adalodakam (Malabar nut), Kurumthotti, Shatavari, Neem, Chittaratha, and Chethikkoduveli.

Sri. Rajesh Babu led the environmental pledge. Sri. Sudheesh, Suresh K, Karayi Vijayan Master, Suresh Master, and Sheeja Teacher also spoke on the occasion.

Bank Secretary Sri. Suresh Babu delivered the welcome speech, and Sri. Prasannan proposed the vote of thanks.
