Kadirur : Kadirur Service Cooperative Bank has launched elephant yam (chena) pickle made using elephant yam cultivated as an intercrop on its jackfruit farm.
The pickle was prepared by the Saubhagya Kudumbashree unit in the first ward of the panchayat. The bank has also begun cultivating Pepper (Kurumulaku) on its nearby land to Jack Farm.
The product was launched at a function held at the bank hall, where Thalassery Assistant Registrar K. V. Shabin handed over a bottle of the pickle to V. P. Sreedharan. The function was presided over by bank president Sreejith Choyan.
Kattyath Prakasan, K. Suresh, bank secretary M. Suresh Babu, and K. M. Shaji also addressed the gathering.event.
