The Kappummal Evening Branch of the Kathiroor Service Co-operative Bank has commenced operations in a new building, offering enhanced facilities to make customer transactions easier. The inauguration was carried out by Hon. Minister for Public Works and Tourism, P.A. Mohamed Riyas. Bank President Sreejith Choyan presided over the function.
The Minister presented a gift on behalf of the bank to Ms. V.P. Anagha Prakash, who secured first rank in the M.A. Rural Tribal Sociology examination of Kannur University. He also released the cover page of “I V”, an English poetry collection authored by Shivani M.T., a Class 10 student of G.V.H.S.S. Kathiroor. The book is being published with the support of the bank.
The first deposit collection was conducted by Mrs. M.K. Saibunnisa, In-charge of the Cooperative Joint Registrar. The accident insurance benefit for bank members was inaugurated by Rubco Chairman Karayi Rajan.
Bank Secretary P. Suresh Babu delivered the welcome address, and Director K.P. Aneesh Kumar proposed the vote of thanks. K.K. Rajeevan, Kongi Ravindran, Advocate K. Ajith Kumar, K. Shashidharan, T. Sudheer, Nisar Ahmad, T.C. Pradeepan, A.P. Mohanan, M.K. Dileep Kumar, M.P. Tahir, K.V. Pavithran, and P.K. Bijoy also spoke on the occasion.
